   This book starts in the year 1921 and is about a young woman named Elsa, who is not loved by her family, and is deemed too old to marry. However, her life changes when she meets Rafe Martinelli, and makes a serious mistake. Years later, Elsa and her two children are now living through the Texas Dustbowl, and the Great Depression. The Dustbowl causes them, and many others, to leave their home in Texas, and Embarq on a journey to California, in search for a better life.

     This book is a good read. Up until now, I've never heard of the Texas Dustbowl, and because of this book, I've done a tiny bit of research on it. And it really happened. If your either into historical fiction, or just an average bookworm that loves to read, then I encourage you to check this book out!
